A Black-Tie Wedding in Lower Manhattan

170 GUESTS · SURROGATE'S COURT · NEW YORK CITY

A marble courthouse landmark, not a ballroom — reimagined for a black-tie affair without losing the grandeur of the room. The concept leaned into what the space already had: soaring ceilings, court-worthy drama, and enough gravity to skip the usual wedding décor entirely.

Favorite details: a raw-space lighting plan built around the building's own architecture, and a seating layout that let 170 guests feel like they were at one long table instead of forty small ones.

A lemon-soaked birthday by the pool — the kind of private Hamptons celebration that's less about a theme and more about a mood. Bright citrus color, easy food, and a party that photographed itself.
